We offer engaging living and career opportunities for more than 750 Residents and Employees across the beautiful 60-acre campus! 

 

11:00am-8:00pm, Tuesday-Saturday

$14.00-$15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities with GVS:

  • Activity Planning and Implementation: Assist the Coordinator with planning the monthly Activity Calendar. Responsible for attending and executing on-campus activities and off-campus outings for the independent living community.  

  • Communications and Reporting: Point of contact for residents for activities-related questions and information. Assists with department communications such as the Village Voice, monthly activities calendar, event flyers, etc.

  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Works collaboratively with internal GVS departments to ensure activities have the support needed to run smoothly.  This includes catering requests, room set-up, transportation, equipment set up, etc.

  • Resident Relationship Building: Builds relationships with residents and encourages participation in independent living activities. Participates in new resident meetings to understand their needs and requests from the community.

  • Technology: Works closely with GVS IT department to ensure technology is working appropriately for all on-campus activities.

  • Additional Administrative Tasks as assigned by the Community Life Services Director or Community Life Services Coordinato

Qualifications

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing work environment.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Geriatric Care, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, etc.
  • One year experience in a recreational program preferred.
