Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities with GVS:

 

  1. Assist in the planning, scheduling and supervising of HC (Health Center) personnel. 
  2. Assists in developing menus for HC residents assessing preferences and nutritional needs.   
  3. Assists in developing work assignments for all dietary personnel, assigning specific jobs and spot-checking work to ensure standards are met. 
  4. Assist in maintaining pertinent and appropriate records, reports, schedules and studies as required by local, state and federal regulations and otherwise requested.
  5. Assists the Sous Chef with ordering from approved vendors to ensure execution of menus 
  6. Assist in maintaining current and accurate individual diet information in tray card system and other applicable nourishment lists
  7. Attends QAPI, Resident Council, Leadership and other meetings as assigned and takes notes as required.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing monthly in-services for Dining Services staff focusing on food and physical safety, Extraordinary Impressions and emergent issues related to kitchen inspections
  9. Assist in monitoring and ensuring that staff are completing Relias trainings on schedule to maintain compliance with regulations. 
  10. 10.Assist the dietitian between scheduled visits if unplanned or special therapeutic diets are ordered.
  11. Assist with assuring that meal tallies are accurate on a daily basis
  12. Assist in supervising the appearance of community dining room tables, including table linens, napkins, silverware, table setup, centerpieces, etc.
  13. Exhibits behaviors that support the hospitality promises and a positive work environment, encompassing all levels of care on the GVS campus.  Promotes and adheres to residents’ rights and elder care.  Shows respect and dignity in all interactions with residents, resident families, and employees.

 

Qualifications

What does success look like?

  • High School graduate required.
  • In Certified Dietary Manager training program
  • Live our Extraordinary Impressions Values.
  • GED or High School Diploma Required. 
  • Be passionate for providing the best care to the residents we serve.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing work environment.
